DSTRCT.Berlin welcomes its first resident: internet hosting service STRATO

Published

International workspace provider HB Reavis is to open the gates of its first project in Germany – DSTRCT.Berlin – and welcome its first tenant. STRATO’s new 14,000 sq m space meets the highest standards in terms of agility, sustainability, and employee comfort.

STRATO was attracted by the workspace’s ability to enhance productivity and wellbeing. The internet hosting busines will enjoy a variety of different spaces for work, collaboration, and relaxation – the perfect fit for teams which were previously spread across several locations.

High demand for sustainability and employee wellbeing

STRATO and HB Reavis are well-matched, with a shared passion for modern, sustainable, and wellbeing-focused working environments.
The new workspace’s lighting concepts support the body's biorhythms. Walkways between different areas are designed to encourage movement. Activated carbon filters and air ionisation automatically ensures the highest water and air quality, and air quality is controlled by sensors that automatically save energy.
An atrium and the separate roof terrace are green oases that make everyday working life even more pleasant. In addition to the modern workplaces, the former auction hall will offer a variety of gastronomic and local amenities in the future.

The new location is very easy to reach by public transport. In addition, employees who come to work by e-bike or electric car can charge their vehicle in the underground car park.

About the project

A mixture of heritage sites and new buildings, the innovative DSTRCT.Berlin development offers new office and conference spaces, as well as attractive indoor and outdoor dining facilities. After achieving WELL pre-certification at Gold level and WiredScore Platinum certification, it is set to quickly become a vital professional and social hub for Berlin’s Prenzlauer Berg district.
DSTRCT.Berlin is located just next to the public transport hub “Landsberger Allee” and is just a few minutes from Alexanderplatz and downtown Berlin. The new building’s modern curves and high-tech features are complemented by the characteristic former slaughterhouses.
